I'll let the seller describe this one:

Do you want a wild hot rod to drive? THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU! I put this car together three years ago with one thing in mind; reliability. I started with a 300 horse 350 small block chevy four bolt main truck engine built for towing. I backed that up with a rebuilt 700r4 automatic transmission for easy driving. Behind that we have the light weight aluminum transfer-case, and all of the power meets the road through a pair of half ton chevy truck axles. The front axle was rebuilt with new seals and all new joints, the rear was re-sealed as well. Brand new brakes and new rotors and drums were also installed. It has a power brake booster mounted under the floor. This truck stops on a dime and goes like hell. It has power steering from a gm truck as well, again all of the mechanical parts on this truck are easy to find and work on. The engine is topped with a 600 CFM Edelbrock carb, and cooled with an aluminum radiator. It also has finned aluminum valve covers for that vintage look! It breaths aggressively through a set of cherry bomb mufflers and a full dual 2.5 inch exhaust with all mandrel bent tubing. It has a 17 gallon aluminum fuel cell in the rear, and trailer hitch welded into the frame with four plug trailer hook up. The axles have 3.07 gears for highway driving, and the wheels are 22 inch black powder coated with falken all season tires I bought new when I built the truck.

Inside we have a pair of custom seats, and a gm tilt steering wheel. There is a cd player, power plug in for your cell phone, and a heater with defrost. The heater has a vintage cover but is a new unit. It has a full set of electric gages including tach. A 23" lokar shifter with skull nob lets you pick your gears, and a transfer case shifter gives you the choice between 2-high, 4-high, and 4-low. There is an electric wiper motor for those rainy or snowy days. The hole interior of this truck is done in real diamond plate aluminum for a tough look!

The body of this truck is one of a kind, I started with a genuine steel 1927 hudson four door sedan body. The body was stretched into what you see today, and chopped 4 inches for a nice mean look. Still plenty of space inside though, I am 6' 1" and fit with room to spare. I made the hood and grill shell from scratch, and is has modified '27 Studebaker fenders front and rear. The back door opens hatch style, and the four side doors are all suicide doors from the factory! The roof came from a 70s ford van, and the frame is a modified dodge one ton truck frame. Front and rear drive lines are custom made for this truck! It also has a period correct modified front bumper and the rear has model t style tail lights. The front headlights have real hudson glass lenses with the hudson logo on them. It also has a authentic hudson radiator emblem. The hood ornament is a hand made steel gargoyle with eyes and wings that light up with the headlights!

I have driven this truck to Reno for hot august nights, and to victoria canada and seattle washington for car shows. It was in Rat Rod magazine in august of 2013, and has won several trophies. I have other projects on my mind and its time for "Murdoc" to find a new home.

It's in La Pine, Oregon with the starting bid at $18,000.00 no reserve with about 6.5 hours to go.

Calling an aluminum transfer case "lightweight" is like calling a midget submarine "lightweight".

I like it!

But in typical nit-pick fashion:

1.) UGH at the mid-70's GM steering wheel

2.) NO to the fire-prone air cleaner

3.) More than 1 throttle return spring please

Reminds me a bit of the Glacier Park tour Whites, but less coherent.

Dig the outside and overall look.

But the diamondplate interior...No. Just No.

This guy could have just invented the next hot custom segment - sort of a pro-mod/resto-mod jacked up 20's/30's era truck. No joke - lots of potential here. How about a 36 International 5ton built up on a modern Ford F550 chassis? (Maybe with a wild ecobeast motor?)
